I don’t know about you guys, but I have a mean sweet tooth. After my evening meal, I always crave something sweet to follow. ALWAYS. Much as I love a bag of Minstrels as much as the next person, this is my go-to to satisfy my sweet craving. It takes a matter of minutes to make, its’s delicious and you’ll feel far more angelic in making this dessert choice.
Ingredients
Fruit of your choice – see below for combination ideas
Drizzle Maple Syrup
Cinnamon – sprinkled to suit taste
Coconut oil for frying
Fruit Combinations
Apple & Blackberry
Blueberry & Peach
Banana & Pineapple
With berry fruits, add these for around 30 seconds, otherwise they will go mulchy. Add any number of fruits and make your own combinations. You can even add dried fruits and nuts. The combinations are endless.
Method
Melt the coconut oil in a pan. Add the fruit of your choice, drizzle over the maple syrup and sprinkle the cinnamon. I am of the school that the more cinnamon, the better. Try to avoid stirring the fruit too much, as it will become pureed. Cook till caramelised.
Serve hot over your favourite yoghurt (Greek, Natural, Coconut, Soy etc)
Look out for Kat’s protein pancakes coming up soon…These are the perfect topping
